Frequently asked questions
Ten topics, answered plainly. If your question is not here, the case team will answer it — through the portal if you are registered, and by the contact form if you are not.

Eligibility
Every action the firm brings publishes its eligibility test in full before registration opens. The questionnaire on this site applies that test to your circumstances and tells you the reason for the answer, whichever way it goes.
Answer to the best of your knowledge. Where a date or a figure changes the outcome we will ask for a document later; nothing you enter at the eligibility stage binds you or your claim.
Both, where the class definition allows it. Business claimants are asked for an authorised signatory and company registration details in place of personal identity documents.
Costs and funding
No fee is payable unless the claim recovers damages. Where the firm acts under a damages-based or contingency agreement, the percentage and every deduction are set out in the claimant agreement before you sign it.
Institutional litigation funders, on terms disclosed to the court or tribunal and summarised on each action's page. Funders take no part in the conduct of the claim.
In English proceedings adverse costs are covered by after-the-event insurance taken out by the firm or the funder. In US arbitration the American rule applies and each side bears its own costs, subject to any statutory fee-shifting.
Timelines
A certified English class action typically runs three to five years to trial or settlement. A mass arbitration programme is faster — commonly twelve to twenty-four months from filing to a global settlement structure — but neither is quick.
Procedural stages are long and quiet. Your portal shows every step as it is completed, including the ones that produce no visible movement, and we publish an update whenever the position changes.
Compensation
That depends on the outcome and on your own transaction history. We publish modelled ranges where we have a reasonable basis for them, always with the basis stated, and we do not promise figures before a settlement exists.
By an allocation formula filed with the court or agreed in the settlement, applied identically to every claimant. Your portal shows the calculation applied to your own record.
Privacy
It is processed to run your claim and for no other purpose. Records are encrypted, held in the jurisdiction of the proceedings, and retained for six years after conclusion in accordance with our regulatory obligations.
No. Claimant identities are disclosed to the tribunal and to the defendant's representatives where procedure requires it, and never publicly.
Mass arbitration
Because the customer agreement says so. A class-action waiver, once enforced, leaves individual arbitration as the only available route — so we use it, at scale, exactly as drafted.
Yes. An arbitral award is enforceable in the same way as a judgment, and in the United States is subject to only very narrow grounds of challenge.
Almost certainly not. The overwhelming majority of consumer arbitrations proceed on documents alone. If your demand is selected as a bellwether we will tell you well in advance and prepare you for it.
Registration
No. Registration records your interest and allows us to assess your claim. You enter into nothing until you sign the claimant agreement, which is a separate, later step.
Yes. Registration saves as you go and can be resumed from the link we email you, on any device.
Yes, at any point before a settlement is accepted on your behalf, by writing to the case team through the portal.
Evidence
For most claimants: photographic identity, proof of address and any account statements covering the class period. The portal lists exactly what is outstanding for your claim and nothing more.
No. Where a claimant cannot obtain records we seek them from the defendant in disclosure. Missing documents may affect the evidenced value of a claim, not your eligibility.
Settlement
In an opt-out class action the court approves a settlement that binds the class. In arbitration and opt-in proceedings you decide individually, on a full written explanation of what you are accepting and what you are giving up.
By bank transfer, once the settlement is final and your payment details are verified. The portal shows the payment date, the gross figure, every deduction and the net amount before you accept.
The firm
No. This is a demonstration environment. The firm, its offices, its case references and every figure on this site are fictional, created to show how a collective redress practice can run a claimant journey end to end. No legal services are provided through this website.
Still deciding whether to register?
The eligibility questionnaire gives you a reasoned answer in four minutes and commits you to nothing. You can stop at any point, and nothing is filed on your behalf without your signature.
